Ladies! I hear you!
You’ve seen my previous blog posts on menopause like Waiting it out and Hormone Therapy is Dangerous. I know, I need to do more blog posts. 😊 Anyways, I have got some new and exciting news!!! Are you ready?
Illumination Women’s Health will be hosting a screening of The (M) Factor, Shredding The Silence On Menopause!
The (M) Factor is a first-of-its-kind documentary that challenges the silence surrounding menopause and advocates for a revolution in women’s healthcare. Premiering on PBS October 17th, this film sheds light on the on the real-life experiences of women and the urgent need for change in how we address this critical phase of life.

Need I say more?!?! I don’t know about you, but I am super excited. I am super nervous too, but even more excited. I reached out to The (M) Factor Team over the summer inquiring about this because I believe this is an important message to get out to the business and medical community in the area. I’ve heard the stories and this message needs to be heard. Women who are going through menopause, often at the height of their career, dealing with kids going away to college and a whole host of other challenges in their lives. Some of these stories are heartbreaking. Women who have even voluntarily left their jobs because they couldn’t function, being dismissed as needing psychiatric medication, or this is just a normal phase of life and told to just be tough. It is a horrible thing to put a woman through this without help. Guess what? There is help out there, there are resources available, and we can do better. This documentary helps to get this message out which I support wholeheartedly.
I hope you’ll join me in advocating for this change in how we address menopause during this critical time in a women’s life. Would hope to see you all there. There will be a waitlist and will consider additional events at a later time depending on level of interest.
Registration is required and seating is limited.
